This is a lovely walk around the Lymington & Keyhaven Marshes Nature Reserve https://www.hants.gov.uk/thingstodo/countryside/finder/lymingtonkeyhaven The coastal scenery is always refreshing, and the calling sea and water birds make it a good sensory trail for visually impaired.
We parked in the residential streets in Pennington and walked 11km/6.8 miles, following the Swallow Circuit shown on the Hampshire County Council maps on boards along the route. The coastal walk is along mainly compacted gravel paths and some quiet (midweek) country lanes We didn’t bring our disabled daughter on this occasion, but thought the wide tracks and gates off-road wheelchair/buggy accessible.
Parking - We parked free in the residential streets near Woodside Park, Rookes Lane, Lymington, SO41 8FP. There is very small Sea Wall Car Park at the end of Lower Pennington Lane SO41 8AL but this is often full on nice days, there are no designated Blue Badge bays, and the wider WAVs may find it difficult to pass other vehicles along the narrow lane. Pay parking with Blue Badge bays is available at Keyhaven Long & Short Stay Car Parks SO41 0TP https://www.newforest.gov.uk/article/1266/Keyhaven-Long-Stay-Car-Park-Keyhaven?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0Gs4A4np2X9KlcsryEK7C3uuPln5_KguQM4Ay8Jj98qvUSvgFvS1ygkd0_aem_oVuRvubKBu_6VMd43QHIdg, and Lymington’s Bath Road SO41 3SE and Town Quay Car Park SO41 3AT but these car parks are 1-2.5km from the start of the trail.
Toilets - There are Changing Places toilets in Bath Road Car Park, 19 Bath Road, Lymington SO41 3SE
Refreshments - Plentiful in Lymington, and The Gun Inn, Keyhaven Road, Keyhaven SO41 0TP
