Pamber Forest is a nature reserve managed by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. It is an ancient woodland with heath and wood pasture rich in butterflies and birds.
We took a short (3 mile/5km) walk in Pamber Forest after visiting SeeAbility Fir Tree Lodge, a possible residential care home for our disabled adult daughter.
We did not park in the main car park, but presume access is as easy as it was for us walking in via Sandy Lane RG26 3PA.
The forest is a network of crisscrossing dirt and sandy paths. On a warm June day these paths were firm and smooth, easily accessible to an off road wheelchair or buggy, and possibly a more standard NHS attendant wheelchair. And the trees provided some welcome shade in the 26C temperatures.
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust webpage recommends you contact them for disabled access information. There is also a downloadable trail guide
